We are deeply grateful to the Gerald Choa Memorial Fund for supporting the HealthExhibition 2023. The Health Exhibition is an annual flagship event organized by the MedicalSociety, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. It aims to acquaint the general public withmedical knowledge and raise their awareness of health-related issues. In previous years,we have introduced topics such as ophthalmology, musculoskeletal system, psychiatry,neurology, cardiovascular system to name but a few. In 2023, the theme wasGastrointestinal and Hepato-biliary-pancreatic Sciences, intending to enhance people'sunderstanding of our digestive system.The Health Exhibition 2023 achieved tremendous success. Throughout the three weekends,we effectively promoted medical knowledge to nearly 10,000 attendees, with roughly 2,600of them also receiving free health checks during the Exhibition. Around 6,000 sets ofsouvenirs and information booklets were distributed. Nearly 400 medical students fromCUHK served as helpers in the event, fulfilling various responsibilities such as conductinghealth checks, presenting information boards, contributing to various designs, andmanaging the event's logistics and planning. This has allowed them to learn extensively byengaging with the public and performing health checks on them. We have receivedabundant gratitude from citizens for hosting this event.
