We write to express our profound gratitude for the generous scholarship from the GeraldChoa Memorial Fund, which is instrumental in bringing our local service outreach team tofruition. As medical students, we are acutely aware of the financial challenges in fundingnot only our education but also extracurricular projects. Your support is an invaluableencouragement in realizing our service aspirations. This scholarship has opened doors for us to pursue our passion for community service. Itenables us to organize health screenings and outreach programmes for Hong Kong's mostvulnerable populations, including the homeless and ethnic minorities. Our initiative wasborn from our pre-clinical service experiences and individual volunteer work in Uganda andIndia. These experiences highlighted the inadequate healthcare access for these groups inour local community, exacerbated by insufficient health information dissemination andprevalent stereotypes among medical professionals.CHAN Chi Kiu, Michael (Medicine Year 4)NG Shing Him, Brandon (Medicine Year 4)Gerald Choa Memorial Fund Community Services Award (Group A) 2023/24Hong Kong Ethnic Minority Well-being CheckTHANK YOU NOTES25
