BUDDY PROGRAMME EVENTS

The usually quiet hostel for senior medical students at
Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) rang out with sounds of
laughter and chatter on 25 August 2018 as celebrations of
the Homecoming Day of Madam S. H. Ho Hostel for
Medical Students got underway. Event highlights included
a tour of the hostel and some PWH facilities as well as
musical performances by our very own medical alumni and
Faculty staff.

The late Dr. Wing Tai SIU (MBChB 1989), former Convenor
of the MABP, kicked off the evening festivities with his
welcome message, while Dr. Alice KONG (MBChB 1992)
from the Department of Medicine & Therapeutics, CUHK
was the moderator. Around 100 alumni, medical students,
their families and friends attended the Homecoming Day
event.

To cap the year, a tea gathering among buddies, students
and O Camp organisers (affectionately known as Jobama —
a Cantonese version of group father and mother), was held
on 1 December 2018. Their mission — to discuss the further
development of MABP.
