In honor of the enduring legacy of Professor CHOA, the Gerald ChoaMemorial Fund was established in 2013. This Fund is dedicated tosupporting scholarships, student programmes, and community initiativesfor the good causes. To date, approximately HK$2.7 million from theFund has been allocated to scholarships, enabling numerous students toembark on an extraordinary educational journey.The Faculty is profoundly grateful to our generous philanthropists andsupporters for their steadfast dedication to CU Medicine's vision andmission. The Fund has garnered substantial support from our medicalalumni, who have instilled a tradition of %u201cPassing on the Torch %u85aa%u706b%u76f8%u50b3%u201d toempower their younger peers to excel and embrace opportunities instudies, exchanges, and community services. Moreover, ourdistinguished alumni are keen to come home and share their expertiseand insights through a diverse array of workshops or activities,supporting medical students and interns as they navigate uncertaintiesand challenges throughout their studies and medical training.As I peruse this annual report, I take great pleasure in witnessing ourfuture physicians groom and realize their dreamed paths within acommunity surrounded by care, support and fraternity. I also wish toexpress gratitude to each member of the Advisory Committee for yourefforts in ensuring the meticulous allocation of the Fund, and itsdeliverables aligned with genuine benefits to our medical students andthe community at large.
